2004 Summer YMCA
Thanks to my mom who gave the camp
as birthday gifts, kids were able to attend overnight summer camp for the first
time in their lives. Mirrissa was almost 8years old and Zach had just turned
10. We chose "mini-camp" for Mirrissa which involved 3 overnight
stays and a regular 1 week camp for Zachary.
Stacy was dead set against it
because she would "miss the kids too much" and she didn't want to
send the kids "30 miles away with a bunch of strangers" and claimed
that the "kids aren't ready for camp, day camp yes but not overnight
camp". She also objected that she won't agree because all of this was
arranged with my mother "behind her back". After literally "smuggling" Mirrissa
to camp and having my attorney and her attorney talk to her about the benefits
of summer camp she finally agreed to let Zach go to his camp coming up in a few
weeks.

It just so happened that another boy had on
identical swimming trunks.
